Bearing Coated Wheels (PU & Silicone)
Small wheels built around a ball bearing: a polyurethane or silicone tread bonded directly over the bearing’s outer ring, so the bearing is the hub — no separate core, no press-fitting, nothing to assemble. Flat, U-groove and V-groove profiles, any colour, made to your bearing number.
Product Overview
These wheels skip the hub entirely. The polyurethane or silicone tread is cast directly around a sealed ball bearing, which becomes both the core and the race — so the wheel runs on the bearing’s own precision, with no core to machine and nothing to drift out of true. The result is a small wheel that runs quiet, runs round and drops straight onto a shaft or pin.
PU is the default tread: tough, wear-resistant and quiet on hard surfaces. Silicone takes over where temperatures run high or a very soft, gentle tread is needed. Profiles come flat, U-grooved for round tracks or V-grooved for angle tracks, in colours that make wheel types easy to tell apart on the line.

What We Build
Wheels are built around the bearing you specify — send the bearing number from the old wheel, or the shaft and load it must carry, and we confirm the build at quotation.
| Parameter | Option |
|---|---|
| Tread material | Polyurethane (wear and load) or silicone (heat and gentle surfaces) |
| Bearing | Built around your bearing number — common small series and sealed types |
| Profile | Flat, U-groove, V-groove, crowned |
| Tread colour | White, red, blue, black — custom colours |
| Bearing fit | Cast directly around the bearing outer ring |
| Quantity | One piece to production volumes |
The Bearing Is the Hub
True by Construction
The tread runs concentric with the bearing race, so the wheel cannot wobble the way a cored wheel can if its bore drifts. What you get is the bearing's own precision, with a cushion outside it.
Nothing to Assemble
No separate hub, no press-fit, no spacers. The wheel arrives as one part that slides onto a shaft or pin — which is why they are the standard choice for door rollers, guide wheels and small feed rollers built by the thousand.
PU or Silicone, Your Call
PU for wear and load; silicone for heat and delicate surfaces. Same construction, different compound — tell us the running conditions and we match the tread.
Where They Run
- Sliding door, gate and window rollers
- U-groove and V-groove guide wheels on tracks
- Conveyor guide, transfer and small drive positions
- Feed rollers on packaging and processing machines
- Replacement wheels for equipment maintenance
Bearing Coated Wheel Questions
PU or silicone — which tread do I need?
PU covers most cases: it carries more load, resists wear and runs quietly on hard surfaces. Silicone is the choice when the wheel runs hot, needs to survive repeated steam or cleaning, or must be very soft against a delicate surface. Describe the duty and we recommend the compound.
How do I tell you which bearing I need?
Read the number off the bearing's seal if the old wheel is still intact — that is enough. If not, send the shaft diameter and the load per wheel, and we select the bearing series and confirm it with you before production.
Does coating over the bearing affect how it runs?
No. The tread is cast around the bearing's outer ring while the inner ring, balls and seals stay untouched, so the bearing behaves exactly as the manufacturer built it. The sealed types keep their seals — the compound never gets inside.
Can you match a profile from a sample wheel?
Yes. Send the old wheel and we measure the profile — flat, U-groove, V-groove — along with the tread width and the bearing, then build the replacement to those dimensions. Photos with a ruler in frame also work for a first quotation.
