Labeling Machine Rollers — 50A Soft PU with Bearings
Soft polyurethane rollers for labeling, packaging and converting machines: a 50 Shore A tread cast over a 45# steel core, fitted with dual precision bearings. Diameters from Ø15 to Ø100 mm and lengths up to 500 mm — built to your bearing number and size.
Product Overview
On a labeling machine, the roller touches the product, the label and the web at every cycle. A hard roller skids and marks; a worn one feeds unevenly. This roller is built for that position: a 50 Shore A soft polyurethane tread that grips without marking, cast over a machined 45# steel core, with two sealed bearings fitted so the roller mounts straight onto the machine shaft and runs from day one.
Diameters run from Ø15 to Ø100 mm and lengths to 500 mm, with bearing series from micro 603 up to 6304 matched to your machine. Send the bearing number and the size — or the worn roller — and we build to match.

50A: Soft Enough to Grip, Tough Enough to Last
Grip Without Marks
The 50A tread conforms slightly to the label and the product, so it feeds evenly and never leaves a mark — the balance labeling machines need between traction and surface care.
Quiet by Design
Soft PU on dual sealed bearings keeps the machine line quiet — noticeably quieter than hard plastic or bare steel rollers running the same speed.
Drop-In Replacement
Bearings are fitted before shipment, so the roller mounts straight onto the machine shaft. Send the bearing number or the worn roller and the replacement matches it.
Where They Run
- Labeling machines — press, feed and backup rollers
- Packaging and cartoning machines
- Converting and laminating lines
- Small conveyor and feed positions on filling lines
- Replacement rollers for imported equipment
Labeling Roller Questions
Which bearing series can you fit?
From micro 603 series up to 6304 — the bearing is fitted to your machine's spec. Read the number off the old roller's bearing, or send the shaft diameter, and we confirm the fit before production.
Is 50 Shore A the only hardness?
50A is the standard for labeling and packaging feed positions because it grips without marking. If your line needs a harder or softer tread, say so at enquiry — hardness is set at casting, not after.
My roller is a non-standard length — can you match it?
Yes. Lengths run from 20 up to 500 mm, and any length in that band is a machining change rather than a special order. Send the diameter, length and bearing number, or the worn roller itself.
Why does the tread need to be soft?
A hard roller skids on smooth label stock and leaves pressure marks on the product. The 50A tread conforms just enough to keep contact even across the web — better registration, no marking, and quieter running.
