Custom PU Wheels, Ø50 to Ø500 mm
Polyurethane wheels in every size and style, made to your drawing — diameters from Ø50 to Ø500 mm, width, hub profile and tread hardness set to the application. Every wheel runs on one cast iron core with two mounting options: a plain bore for a press-fit bearing, or a keyed bore for direct shaft drive. AGV drive wheels, casters, scissor lifts, special vehicles: one piece or one thousand.
Product Overview
Cast polyurethane wheels are made in every size and style here, not picked from a catalogue. The PU is poured onto a cast iron core and ground to final size, so a new diameter or width is a machining change rather than a new mould — which is why Ø50 mm casters and Ø500 mm drive wheels come off the same line. And because one cast core serves two mounting methods, the wheel connects to your equipment either way: machine the bore plain and press in a bearing, or cut a keyway and drive straight off the shaft.

What Can Be Specified
The table is the envelope, not a catalogue. Every line is set at quotation against your drawing — nothing on a custom wheel is assumed.
| Parameter | Range / option |
|---|---|
| Outside diameter | Ø50 – Ø500 mm |
| Tread width | To drawing |
| Tread profile | Flat, crowned, flanged, grooved |
| Hub | Cast iron or steel, machined to drawing |
| Bore / bearing seat | To drawing — plain bore, bearing seat, keyway, thread, spigot |
| Tread hardness | Matched to load and floor — confirmed at quotation |
| PU grade | Polyester for abrasion and oil, polyether for wet and humid service |
| Colour | Red standard, custom colours on request |
| Quantity | From one piece for trial to production volumes |
Two Ways to Connect the Wheel
One cast iron core, two connection options. Tell us how the wheel mounts and we machine the bore to match — no adapters, no rework on your side.
Bearing Bore
A plain precision bore machined to the bearing's tolerance band. The bearing presses in and the wheel free-runs — the standard build for load rollers, casters and steering wheels. Tell us the bearing number, or just the bore size, and we hold the seat to it.
- Press-fit bearing seat, machined to tolerance
- Smooth running, no additional machining on site
- Standard for pallet truck and caster wheels
Keyed Bore for Shaft Drive
A bore with a keyway cut to your shaft, so the hub drives directly off the keyed shaft — the build for drive wheels, AGV units and any position where the wheel transmits torque. Send the shaft diameter and key size and we machine both to fit.
- Keyway cut to your shaft and key dimensions
- Torque goes through the core, not the tread
- Standard for drive wheels and AGV units
From Drawing to Wheel in Five Steps
Send the Numbers
Diameter, width, bore, load per wheel and the floor it runs on. A photo of the old wheel with a ruler in frame is enough if there is no drawing.
Feasibility & Proposal
We confirm what the wheel should be — hub, PU grade, hardness, tread profile — and quote price and lead time against that specification.
Hub Machining
The hub is turned to drawing, grit-blasted and primed so the PU bonds to metal rather than sitting on top of it.
Casting & Curing
PU is cast around the hub and cured under controlled conditions — the step that decides whether the tread stays on the wheel.
Grinding & Inspection
Finished to final diameter and tolerance, checked for hardness, bond and runout, then packed for shipment.
Where Custom PU Wheels Go
- AGV and AMR drive wheels and guide wheels
- Industrial casters and trolley wheels — Ø50 to Ø200 mm
- Scissor lifts, stackers and access equipment
- Special vehicle and trailer wheels — up to Ø500 mm
- Conveyor and transfer guide wheels
- Replacement wheels for imported equipment where the original size is unavailable
Custom Wheel Questions
Do I need to pay for a mould?
No. Cast PU wheels are poured onto the hub and ground to final size, so a new diameter or width does not require a mould — it requires a drawing. That is why one piece is possible.
What is the smallest quantity you will make?
One piece for a trial or a maintenance replacement. Sizes can be mixed in a single order, which is usual for fleets running several truck models.
What do you need to quote?
Outside diameter, tread width, bore or bearing number, load per wheel and the floor type. Add the operating environment if there is oil, water, steam or chemical contact — it changes the PU grade.
Can you copy a wheel from a photo?
We can read a size from a photo taken square to the wheel with a ruler in frame, and we will quote against it. For a bore or hub detail we ask for a dimension or a section drawing before production.
How hard should a custom wheel be?
Harder treads carry more load and roll easier; softer treads grip better and protect the floor. Tell us the load per wheel and the surface, and we propose the hardness rather than leaving the choice to a catalogue number.
Other PU Wheels
Send the Drawing or the Worn Wheel
Email dimensions, a drawing, or a photo of the wheel you are replacing. You will get a material and hardness proposal, a price and a lead time.
