MC Nylon Wear Parts & Liners

Cast nylon wear parts for the harshest bulk handling: hopper, silo and chute linings, conveyor slides, screens, cargo hold linings and large sliders. High wear and corrosion resistance, high impact strength and self-lubrication — powder sticks to nothing, so material keeps flowing. Any shape, any size, machined to drawing.

Product Overview

MC nylon parts combine four properties that bulk handling equipment needs in one material: high wear resistance, corrosion resistance, high impact strength and self-lubrication. As linings for hoppers, silos and chutes handling coal, cement, lime, mineral powder, salt and grain, the low-friction non-stick surface stops material from adhering to the wall — flow stays stable and discharge is complete.

The same wear and corrosion resistance carries into heavy industry positions: funnels and chutes moving liquid, solid and mixed media in mining, coal preparation, metallurgy and thermal power; slide ways for scraper conveyors; jig screens and flotation cell liners; cargo hold linings in shipbuilding; large sliders; and body linings for mine cars and dump wagons. Where steel plate wore through and stuck, cast nylon simply lasts — and the part costs less over its life than the steel it replaces.

Specification and shape are not limited — machined from cast nylon stock to your drawing or sample, from small bushings to liner panels and large sliders.

Why cast nylon

What the Material Does on the Job

Nothing Sticks, Flow Stays Stable

Excellent wear and self-lubrication with a non-stick surface: coal, wet clay, cement, salt and grain slide instead of adhering, arching or rat-holing. Stable conveying, complete discharge, no manual poking of blocked chutes.

Outlasts Steel in Abrasion

High wear resistance against gritty, abrasive media, plus corrosion resistance that shrugs off water, weak chemicals and salt air. Impact strength absorbs loading shock — liners dent instead of cracking, and the steel structure behind them lasts longer too.

Cheaper Over the Whole Life

Self-lubricating parts need no greasing, run quietly, weigh a third of steel and install without machinery. Fewer stoppages, fewer replacements, less maintenance — value that shows up well beyond the purchase price.

Where it works

Industries and Positions

Wear and corrosion service across mining, coal preparation, metallurgy, thermal power and shipbuilding.

Bulk Handling Linings

Hopper, silo and chute liners; funnel and launders for liquid, solid and mixed media; curved and flat liner panels with countersunk bolt holes, cut to your shell radius.

Conveying & Processing

Scraper conveyor slide ways, jig screens, flotation cell liners, flip plates, rope sheaves and large sliders — the contact surfaces that wear first and cost most when they are steel.

Vehicles & Marine

Mine car and dump wagon body linings, cargo hold linings and shipboard wear surfaces — corrosion proof in salt air, quiet, and light enough to cut fuel and handling cost.

FAQ

Nylon Wear Part Questions

We line steel chutes today — why switch to cast nylon?

Steel wears through in abrasive media and lets material bond to damaged spots, so flow stops and crews poke chutes by hand. Cast nylon liners are non-stick and self-lubricating, so coal, cement, lime, salt and grain keep sliding, and the liner itself outlasts the steel plate it replaces. Less stoppage, fewer liner changes, stable conveying.

Can you cut liners to fit our curved hopper or hold?

Yes. Send the shell radius, panel layout or a template, and we machine flat and curved panels to match — including the countersunk fixing holes so the lining surface stays smooth. Shipboard hold linings and mine car body linings are routine work for us.

How does MC nylon compare with UHMW-PE for liners?

Both are non-stick and self-lubricating. MC nylon is harder and stiffer, which suits loaded sliders, screens and sheaves; UHMW-PE is slicker and tougher in impact, which suits free-flowing abrasive liners. Send the material, lump size and impact conditions and we recommend the right material for each position.

What industries do you supply these parts to?

Mostly mining, coal preparation, metallurgy, thermal power, cement and grain handling, plus shipbuilding for hold linings. The common thread is abrasive or corrosive media wearing out steel contact surfaces.

Is there a size or shape limit?

No fixed limit — specification and shape are per your requirement. We machine from cast stock, so one-off profiles, curved panels and large sliders are standard work. Send the drawing or the worn part to copy.
