A drive roller fails in one of two ways: the belt slips, or the roller breaks. Slip is a surface problem — lagging compound and pattern. Breakage is a structural problem — shaft, weld or balance.
We manufacture the complete roller: core, lagging, journals and keyway, so traction and structure are specified together rather than assembled from mismatched parts.
What We Can Build
Values marked “to be confirmed” are set against the factory’s tested capability before quotation. Send your dimensions and we will confirm against them.
| Parameter | Range / option |
|---|---|
| Lagging | NBR or SBR rubber, plain or diamond pattern |
| Lagging hardness | to be confirmed |
| Lagging thickness | to be confirmed |
| Core | Steel tube or solid, welded or machined |
| Journals | Machined to drawing with keyway |
| Balancing | Dynamic, G6.3 on request |
| Surface option | Smooth lagged, diamond grooved, or knurled |
Where These Rollers Are Used
- Belt conveyor head drives
- Incline conveyor drives
- Troughed belt systems
- Package handling drives
- Mining and aggregate conveyors
- Replacement for worn drive pulleys
Drive Roller Questions
Plain or diamond lagging?
Plain for dry, clean belts at moderate tension. Diamond for wet, dusty or high-tension applications where slip is the problem — the grooves give water and debris somewhere to go.
Can you match the shaft and keyway of my existing drive roller?
Yes. Send the roller or a drawing with journal diameter, length, keyway size and position. Shaft fit is the most common cause of premature failure, so we machine to your measurement rather than a nominal size.
Do you balance the roller?
Dynamic balancing is available on request and is recommended for continuous duty drives. Unbalanced drive rollers load the bearings and show up as vibration or belt tracking drift.
Send the Drawing or the Worn Roller
Email your drawing, the machine model, or photos of the roller you need replaced. You will get a material proposal, a price and a lead time.
